A Little About Me...

A lifelong love of music and a few questionable life decisions!

Music has been a huge part of my life since I first picked up a pair of drumsticks at the age of 10. Over 40 years later, I'm still making a noise — although these days I've added an acoustic guitar and a microphone to the mix!

I was once offered a place to study Modern Music and Recording at Salford College of Music. An amazing opportunity that, in a moment of questionable judgement, I turned down. Do I regret it? Only every time I think about it!

Life took me in a different direction, but music has always been my passion. After decades behind the drums, I discovered a love for playing acoustic guitar and singing the songs I've grown up with — and Acoustic Merse was born.

For me, it's all about great songs, good times and getting people singing along. From timeless classics to modern favourites, I love giving familiar tunes my own acoustic twist.

So grab a drink, sing along and enjoy the music. I can't promise I'll hit every note, but it'll be fun and in the words of Robbie Williams "Let Me Entertain You"!
